Abstract: The aim of this paper is to produce a preliminary and broad-based understanding of likely trade implications of the pandemic. Beginning with an assessment on likely implications for trade between China and therefore the remainder of the globe, the focus of this report is on the pandemic’s massive consequences for trade and development. The paper concludes that the pandemic is probably going to not only introduce new patterns of world trade but also affect trade relations and globalization, making some economies winners and a few losers.
